Wings_final (2)

I came home from a fun weekend in San Antonio to discover the first review for Wings on Amazon. I am thrilled! And to celebrate, I am giving away a copy of Wings to one commenter on this post. While you are here, please visit my other book pages.

On Wings of Desire-By Bianca Swan April 5, 2013

By Dana Dye

A thrilling and erotic post-apocalyptic tale. Sizzling from page one to page end. Angels and demons gear up for the ultimate showdown and caught in the crosshairs are Gloria, the human whose been seeking an angel and new lover, and Seph the demon who can’t quite fit in to hell’s standards.

Its their journey of discovery and love in the face of death…for all mankind.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story and there was never a dull word much less page. Also wonder if this might not be the start to a fresh new series.

Highly recommend On Wings of Desire.

My name is Cam-ael and I was an angel of the Order of the Powers.  Sounds like an opening remark from an AA meeting, doesn’t it?

I was wounded in the Second War in Heaven, more about that later, and plummeted from the sky into Essie McBane’s life.  I’m sure Essie didn’t expect to have an angel thump down in her chicken yard.

I’m open for questions, if they’re not too personal.  (He gives the interviewer a devastatingly beautiful smile to match his lyrical voice).

Second War in Heaven?

The First was when Lucifer was cast down into Hell.  He caused the Second one as well but I’m not at liberty to say why.  Suffice to say that many of the loyal angels were incensed to learn that our Creator still mourned his once favorite son.

The Second War raged until the airy corridors ran red with blood, then the conflict spilled from Heaven to Earth, and mortal forces joined the battle as the fallen angels met the loyal angels in one final, epic battle at Armaggeddon.

I was a warrior, but I was wounded.  Essie gave me sanctuary to heal, and I was intrigued by her and by mortal life. I found the idea of the love between a man and woman and sex fascinating.  I wanted to stay with her and experience life, but she was determined not to be the reason I fell from Grace.

Describe yourself.

Physically, I’m 6 feet tall with auburn hair, blue eyes and a white wingspan.

As a person, I’m loyal, caring and affectionate.  As a warrior, I was fierce and ruthless.  The Powers are the first line of defense…..

Do you think you will stay on Earth?

If Essie will have me—and of course if I’m not summoned back to the war.

Can angels die?

Not in the human sense of dying.  We can be destroyed or cease to exist.  Swords of black iron will kill an angel.

Any questions for an angel?

Celestial Sin can be purchased from The Wild Rose Press.

Under my own name, I self-published my novella Night Before Doomsday on Smashwords Friday night.  It is not an easy process but I’m glad I took the time to do it.  My son Simon designed the cover which is the fallen angel Azazel’s sigil.  A free sample of the story can be downloaded.  http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/89525.  The book is about the Grigori, the angels sent to Earth to teach Man.  Nine-tenths of them succumbed to lust and fell from grace.  Night Before Doomsday (my son also gave me the title) is told in first person from the leader Azazel’s point of view.  I’ love your comments on the effectiveness of the teaser!

Now, for our Sunday quote, from the Wilde:

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

Celestial Sin got a super review from Sizzling Hot, and I’m happy dancing at 3:30 AM on a Monday.  This Monday isn’t going to be that bad!  I loved the reviewer’s synopsis of the story:  God is the ultimate creator. So how can Essie resist the one thing she is suppose to never have, but is created to be ultimately tempting? After all, humans fell from grace because of temptation…but with Celestial Sin right in front of her, can she risk being the reason an angel falls?

What the reviewer said:  Don’t let Celestial Sin fool you, this is one passionate, exciting story. I may never look at wings or feathers the same again. Camael coining the phrase “love on the wing” is worth checking out! I just hope I’m never faced with this type of temptation, because I don’t think I’m good enough to resist. But it sure makes for great reading!

Leave a comment for a chance to win a Hot Spanish Nights coffee mug (with the HOT cover).   Don’t forget to check back to see if you won.  While you’re here, check out the Celestial Sin page for the trailer and gorgeous cover.
